148. SOLO: From “One Day” to Actually Writing My Book

Season #4

What’s the thing you’ve been wanting to put into the world? The book, the business, the idea you keep thinking about but haven’t quite started?

For me, it’s a book. I first wrote about wanting to be an author in my journal at 11 years old. And even as someone who is pretty action-oriented, this has been my hardest creative project yet.

In this solo, I’m taking you behind the scenes of the messy, vulnerable, sometimes magical process of actually writing it. The fear of what people will think. The need to know exactly where it’s going before letting myself begin. And the realization that I could keep editing this thing forever unless I give myself a deadline...

I’m sharing why I chose to self-publish, how taping nine chapters to my office wall helped me get unstuck, and why some of the stories I most needed to write might never make it into the book.

If you’ve been sitting on something that matters to you, come listen. You don’t need to have the whole thing figured out to take the next step.
