132. The Hidden Comfort of Staying Busy (on being)

Season #4

In this solo episode, I’m bringing you into a very real, very present moment in my life. One where I definitely don’t have it all figured out.

After coming back from a beautiful trip to France (filled with slow mornings, long hikes, and meaningful time with family), I noticed something surprising I felt excited to come home. Not overwhelmed. Not anxious but grounded and feeling so at ease in my work.

But alongside that ease, something else has been unfolding a deeper lesson around doing vs. being (yes AGAIN). And honestly? I’m kinda struggling with it.

In this episode, I share:

  • How I created a work rhythm that actually supports my life (not the other way around)
  • Why coming home to community reminded me how important it is to nourish all parts of myself
  • The difference between “doing” for control vs. allowing space for “being”
  • What my therapy + fertility journey are revealing about my patterns
  • Why “being” can feel so uncomfortable, even when we know we need it

This isn’t a polished lesson or a “here’s how to fix it” episode.

It’s an invitation to gently look at your own life and ask:

Where am I trying to control things through constant doing? Where might life be asking me to soften and simply be?
